V Star
(Drag Star) 1100
– типичный японский литровый круизер, достойный компромисс между
слабоватыми 600-800-кубовыми моделями и мощными, но дорогими и уж больно
тяжелыми very big twins с полутора-, двухлитровыми моторами. Никаких
технических откровений (даже охлаждение воздушное), но все гармонично и с
увесистым запасом прочности.
Двигатель
Простая, надежная, без изысков и наворотов, классическая конструкция
воздушного охлаждения с двумя клапанами на цилиндр. Подстать конструкции и
характеристики мотора: типичный чопперный движок с увесистой тягой, но при
этом – в рамках современных тенденций – с неплохим откликом на движения
ручкой газа. Последнему способствует датчик положения дроссельной заслонки
в карбюраторе, сигнал которого используется в работе системы зажигания.
Трансмиссия
КПП работает типично по-ямаховски – ходы великоваты, а четкость работы
средненькая. Но к надежности КПП нареканий нет.
Рама и обвес
Рама типично чопперная, но свои обязанности выполняет отлично. Интересно
решено оформление приборной панели – все индикаторы вписаны в табло
спидометра. Сам спидометр при этом размером чуть ли не с блюдце. Но
читается все очень удобно.
Подвески
Подвески по качеству работы несколько выбиваются из общего стиля –
достаточно плотные, не особо склонные к пробоям. Интересное решение
используется в задней подвеске – на первый взгляд, ее нет вообще, а заднее
колесо жестко закреплено в раме. На самом деле это не так. Задняя подвеска
– моноамортизаторная, оси качания расположены в нижнем углу треугольников
подвески, а в верхнем углу крепится амортизатор, упрятанный под сиденье –
как на «харлеях» линеек Softail и Touring. В целом подвески также надежны и
без особых слабых мест.
Тормоза
При всей своей изящности и внешнем соответствии канонам стиля, два передних
диска с двухпоршневыми скобами и один задний диск с однопоршневой скобой
обеспечивают очень хорошую тормозную динамику, полностью соответствующую
возможностям рамы, мотора и подвесок.
Комфорт
Сиденье, как и на любом большом круизере, имеет анатомическую форму с
выраженным поясничным подпором. Само сиденье плотное ровно настолько,
насколько необходимо, чтобы не терять контакт с мотоциклом. Пассажирское
место тоже достаточно комфортно, хотя «благодаря» слегка скошенной форме
седла в длительных поездках начинаешь сползать вперед (хотя и не так, как
на 400-650-кубовых версиях). Оформление приборки и верхней траверсы сделано
так, что не слепит бликами при ярком солнце. Вынос подножек, высота и угол
наклона руля оптимальны для большинства водителей.
Модификации
Вариант Drag Star Classic выполнен в духе «американцев» 60-х и отличается
16-дюймовыми колесами, иными крыльями, светотехникой и металлическими
кожухами перьев вилки.

Star quality meets heavenly
performance
One thing about a really good show, it always gets taken on the
road. The V-Star 1100 Classic’s styling may be straight out of
yesteryear, but this big-bore cruiser’s work of art, high-tech 75°
air-cooled Vtwin features the kind of contemporary engineering that
always deserves an encore.
The Classic variant’s spacious saddle and ergonomically designed
pillion cushion perfectly complement those long days touring the
capitals, while the deeply valanced fenders add a dignified and
functional touch.
With its loping, low- and mid-range torque, plush suspension and
stable and precise handling, well, let’s just say that cruising
doesn’t get any cruisier than this - under any road conditions.
